When you are tailgating it is good to have some appetizers to munch on while your main coarse is cooking. Many people enjoy mushrooms. They are bite size and full of flavor. You know what makes cheesy mushrooms even better?
Yep you guessed it. Bacon!
Cheesy Bacon Grilled Mushrooms Recipe:
Baby Bella Mushrooms
Cooked and Crumbled Bacon
Shredded Cheese (Cheddar / Pepper Jack / Colby Jack)
Spices (Salt, Pepper, Garlic)
Butter (don’t use that fake stuff… use real butter made from cows)
Get yourself an aluminum pan and spray with non-stick grilling spray or melt some butter in it so you have a nice buffer between the tin and the mushrooms.
Remove stems from mushrooms and place mushroom tops (top side down) in aluminum pan.
Sprinkle cheese and bacon over mushrooms
Cover with tinfoil and grill over medium indirect heat (top rack) for 15-20 minutes
Shrooms are done when cheese has melted like in photo below.
