Meat Candy in the Smoker
Apple-wood smoked thick cut bacon makes for a great appetizer for any football game. This easy straight-forward recipe utilizes your smoker to turn bacon into true meat candy… and it’s so simple a caveman can do it. 😀
1 Pound Thick Cut Bacon (Irregular thick cut bacon will also work and is normally cheaper)
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1) cover top side of bacon with brown sugar (lightly pat) and place directly on rack of your smoker
2) smoke for 1.5 hours at 225F (or until bacon looks crispy)
3) serve hot… or warm… or even cold… its BACON and its fantastic!
