Corn Dogs on the Grill
September 6, 2016Corn Dogs on the Grill
Call it an easy grill hack or a “life hack” or whatever you want, but keep in mind that with a very easy tweak, your backyard grill can do more than just “grill”. I often turn mine into a deep fryer. How do you turn your grill into a deep fryer you ask? All you need is a deep dish cast iron skillet or heck, even an aluminum cake pan will work.
What you will need:
Frozen Corn Dogs
Cooking Oil
Aluminum Pan
and of course your grill.
Fill that container half full with cooking oil (I use canola oil). Make sure you don’t add too much… the last thing you want is for oil to over flow into the flames of your grill (DON’T ASK ME HOW I KNOW… just trust me on this one.)
Pre-heat your oil to 350F.

You need to set the oil temp to about Tree Fiddy
Carefully place frozen corn dogs into the oil (2-3 at a time)
Remove and allow to cool for a few minutes on paper towel prior to serving.

singing: Our State Fair is the Best State Fair…. well O.K. fine … but our corn dogs really are the best corn dogs 🙂
That’s it!
Told you it was easy and it tastes just like the corn dogs at the county fair. You just can’t beat the deep fried taste. Yum!
