Last day at the HHH Metrodome
December 27, 2013Sunday December 29th, 2013 marks the last day at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome… also known for the last few years as Mall of America Field.
Since April 1982 she has been an icon in downtown Minneapolis, MN and home to not only the Minnesota Vikings… but she has seen the Minnesota Twins win two world series and been the venue for countless high school championship games.
The Metrodome is the only venue to host a MLB All-Star Game (1985), a Super Bowl (1992), an NCAA Final Four (1992 & 2001), and a World Series (1987 & 1991). It has been recognized as one of the loudest domed venues in which to view a game, due in part to the fact that sound is recycled throughout the stadium because of the domed roof.
Goodbye Metrodome… and Thanks for the Memories!
