Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies Recipe
Little Smokies wrapped in bacon… (I call them “Little BigGuns”), this is a fan favorite on game day and can be made up the day before if placed in a covered container and refrigerated. Super easy… super good! Super Bacony goodness! Enjoy.
(Serves 5 people)
1 pound thick sliced bacon
2 packages little smokies *
2 cups brown sugar
1: Cut bacon strips into thirds. Wrap bacon around little smokie and hold in place with wooden toothpick (do not use plastic or colored ones) continue until you have wrapped them all.
2: Place in deep aluminum pan and cover generously with brown sugar.
3: Place on grill and use low to medium heat approx. 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
4: Serve when brown sugar has caramelized.
TIP: If using a crock pot instead of a grill, place bacon wrapped smokes in your slowcooker with the toothpicks pointed up. cover with brown sugar. Use the lowest setting for 2-6 hours.
