Purple Plungers $11,000.00+ Raised!February 6, 2022
Special Olympics Polar Plunge – 2022
ELEVEN FRICKING THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!! WOOOOOOOO!
Each year, the Special Olympics Polar Plunge challenges thousands of brave jumpers at numerous locations around the state of Minnesota. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations, tailgating people and businesses—to get involved in supporting Special Olympics Minnesota. All funds raised go towards programming and events.
Otter Tail County is home to over one thousand lakes, so it only makes sense that we would be a plunge location.
Our first year was fun. Our second year was better… but this year…. WOW!
Thanks to you… We Did it!!!
Admiral BigGun’s Purple Plungers
Admiral BigGun started plunging in 2018 in the greater metro area and it wasn’t long before he found a talented group of Vikings fans who wanted to help pay if forward.
Because of your help, ABG was able to contribute over $4250.00 in 2022 and with YOUR SUPPORT and the support of all those who helped… the Purple Plungers raised over $11,000.00!
Yeah, you read that right…
100% of those dollars were donated to Special Olympics Minnesota.
I can’t even begin to thank you enough.
We are so humbled by your support.
What is Polar Plunge?
The fund raising concept is pretty simple: Participants raise a minimum of $75 and take a dip into one of Minnesota’s frozen lakes. In our case, it’s Otter Tail lake.
But Polar Plunges are so much more than that: They’re the kind of fun and thrilling events that you really have to experience to understand.
Plunges are a part of the year-round fundraising program called the Law Enforcement Torch Run, through which law enforcement personnel from across the state raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Minnesota.
SKOL and thank you!
