
Tailgating Chili
January 19, 2020Nothing warms up a tailgate than a warm cup of Chili. This is a basic tailgating chili that can be made up ahead of time and then cooked in a large pot over fire, or slow cook in a crock pot. Feel free to add your own flare to this simple recipe.

1 pound Ground Beef (browned/drained)
2 cans Diced Tomatoes (32 ounces)
1 can Red Chili Beans (16 ounces)
1 can Black Chili Beans (16 ounces)
1/2 Large Onion (chopped)
1 small can Mushrooms (sliced)
1 small can tomato paste
1 small can black olives (chopped)
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Steak Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1/2 Tablespoon Basil
1/2 Tablespoon Chipotle


Place all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours (stir hourly)
OR
Place all ingredients in a cooking pot and cook over medium heat for 45-min to one hour stirring often
